Paul Rudd was a handsome and suave actor, and he still is. It makes fitting that Alicia Silverstone, 46, would reprise the role for Rakuten’s Super Bowl LVII commercial as not much has changed since she appeared alongside Rudd, Brittany Murphy, Breckin Meyer, and others in the classic movie Clueless.
The teaser opens with students chit-chatting before class, most likely at Bronson Alcott High School. An attractive blonde carrying bags from a recent shopping trip enters the scene wearing an instantly familiar yellow-plaid outfit. Cher is seated in the front of the classroom while the opening lines of Supergrass’ “Alright” play, just like she did in Clueless. “Don’t bug,” Alicia Silverstone, who plays Cher and looks like she hasn’t aged a day, says. “Your girl is back.”

And really annoying, to be honest. Just everything I sort of loathed. But I realized that was just me judging her, and once I started working on her I found all the heart and all the love. She loves her daddy so much! And she’s trying to be a supportive friend, so I just sorta put all of my love and heart into this character with these other aspects that were cringeworthy.”
